[$36,234 FOR SIX WFWP SCHOOLS OF AFRICA PROJECTS, $3,518 FOR WFWP JORDAN'S LITERACY PROGRAMS; $15,900 FOR THE WFWP CAMBODIA STUDENT SUPPORT PROJECT; AND $500 TO WFWP IN SAO TOME PRINCIPE FOR A WOMEN EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE OFFERING SEWING CLASSES.] THIS WAS POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF WFWP'S LOCAL CHAPTER FUNDRAISERS AND OUR FIRST VIRTUAL SCHOOLS OF AFRICA CULTURAL BENEFIT PROGRAM, TITLED "SHINE AFRICA: THE POWER OF EDUCATION".EACH YEAR, LOCAL CHAPTERS AND MEMBERS ACROSS THE USA ORGANIZE INNOVATIVE AND ENGAGING EVENTS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE SCHOOLS OF AFRICA PROJECT WITH TEN SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT EIGHT AFRICAN COUNTRIES.
