PROMOTION OF PEACE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE. PEACE DEVELOPMENT FUND IS A PUBLIC FOUNDATION THAT PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS AND SOCIAL JUSTICE MOVEMENTS TO PROVIDE GRANTS, TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, WORKING WITH DONORS AND GRANTEES TO BUILD A PEACEFUL WORLD.

OUR COMMUNITY ORGANIZING GRANTS ARE PDFS OPEN DOOR TO ANY AND ALL WHO WISH TO APPLY. THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS WE ARE ABLE TO MAKE SMALL GRANTS TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS WORKING ON ISSUES OF SOCIAL JUSTICE, INCLUDING ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, ECONOMIC JUSTICE, PEACE, HUMAN HEALTH & WELFARE IN AREAS OF THE COUNTRY WHERE THERE ARE FEW GRANT MAKING RESOURCES SUCH AS IOWA, SOUTH DAKOTA, LOUISIANA OR THE SOUTHWEST. COMMUNITY ADVISED, DESIGNATED GRANTS AND DONOR ADVISED FUNDS BRING DONORS, GRASSROOTS ORGANIZERS AND FUNDERS TOGETHER FOR GRANTMAKING AND COMMUNITY BUILDING, STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS SECTORS OF THE SOCIAL JUSTICE MOVEMENTS.
