NEW YORK CARES' IMPACT PROGRAMS MEET THE CRITICAL NEEDS OF ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE POPULATIONS, SERVING 100,000+ NEW YORKERS AND DELIVERING 33 MILLION MEALS TO INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING FOOD INSECURITY EVERY YEAR. OUR PROGRAMS HARNESS THE POWER, PASSION, AND SKILLS OF 20,000 VOLUNTEERS ANNUALLY, AND RUN AT 650 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS SITES. OUR PROGRAMS COMBAT THE ROOT CAUSES OF INEQUITY, HELPING LOW-INCOME TEENS ACCESS SUPPORTS AS THEY APPLY TO COLLEGE; PROVIDING ACADEMIC TUTORING FOR CHILDREN FACING BARRIERS IN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM; DISTRIBUTING FOOD TO FOOD INSECURE FAMILIES, PROVIDING WELLNESS SERVICES FOR ISOLATED SENIORS AND VETERANS; AND SO MUCH MORE.
