TEAM IMPACT IS THE ONLY U.S. NONPROFIT THAT TACKLES THE EMOTIONAL TRAUMA AND SOCIAL ISOLATION EXPERIENCED BY CHILDREN FACING SERIOUS AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES BY MATCHING THEM WITH A COLLEGE ATHLETIC TEAM. OUR TWO-YEAR THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM COMPLEMENTS A CHILD'S MEDICAL TREATMENTS, ALLOWING THE CHILD TO DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS AND SKILLS THAT HELP THEM COMPLETE THE FULL CIRCLE OF HEALING.THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN TEAM IMPACT'S CLINICALLY INFORMED PROGRAM, CHILDREN EXPERIENCE A TRUE SENSE OF BELONGING, RESULTING IN INCREASED EMPOWERMENT, NORMALIZATION, HEALTH PROMOTION, AND RESILIENCE. EXPENSES ABOVE RELATED TO THE IDENTIFICATION AND EDUCATION OF THE MEDICAL AND COLLEGE ATHLETIC COMMUNITIES ABOUT THE BENEFIT OF THE PROGRAM TO THE CHILDREN AND STUDENT ATHLETES, AS WELL AS THE PARTICIPANT CASE MANAGEMENT PROCESS. DURING 2022, TEAM IMPACT MADE 440 NEW MATCHES, WHICH ADDED 440 NEW FAMILIES TO OUR GROWING ROSTER. THESE NEW MATCHES CULMINATED IN MORE THAN 1,000 ACTIVE MATCHES IN OUR PROGRAM DURING THE 2022 CALENDAR YEAR, ALLOWING US TO REACH APPROXIMATELY 25,000 STUDENT ATHLETES IN 2022 ALONE. FOUNDED IN 2011, TEAM IMPACT HAS MATCHED OVER 3,000 CHILDREN SINCE ITS INCEPTION THROUGH THE END OF 2022, PARTNERING WITH ALMOST 700 COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES ACROSS 50 STATES, AND IMPACTING MORE THAN 75,000 STUDENT ATHLETES.
