THE CHILD CARE COUNCIL IS A PRIVATE NOT-FOR-PROFIT THAT PROVIDES CHILD CARE REFERRALS, ADMINISTERS THE CHILD CARE SUBSIDY PROGRAM, PROCESSES CHILD CARE SUBSIDY BILLS, ADMINISTERS THE CHILD ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM, SERVES AS THE LOCAL REGISTRAR FOR FAMILY DAY CARE AND SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMS, PROVIDES TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO NEW AND EXISTING CHILD CARE PROGRAMS, AND PROVIDES SUPPORT RELATED TO CHILD CARE FOR LOCAL EMPLOYERS.

CHILD ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM - FUNDED THROUGH THE NYS DEPARTMENT OF, HEALTH, WE ENROLL HOME BASED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS IN THIS PROGRAM, MONITOR MENUS, FOOD PREPARATION, DETERMINE THEIR ELIGIBILITY, REIMBURSE THE PROVIDERS FOR MEALS/SNACKS SERVED TO DAY CARE CHILDREN AND THEIR OWN CHILDREN IF THE PROVIDER IS INCOME ELIGIBLE. WE VOUCHER NYSDOH ON A MONTHLY BASIS AND REIMBURSE PROVIDERS WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF RECEIVING THE FUNDS FROM NYSDOH. THE COUNCIL IS PAID AN ADMINISTRATIVE AMOUNT PER MONTH BASED ON THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPATING HOMES. CONTRACT YEAR: OCTOBER 1 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30.
REGISTRATION OF FAMILY DAY CARE HOMES AND SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS IN CHEMUNG COUNTY - CONDUCT INSPECTIONS AND COMPLIANCE VISITS, DATA ENTRY INTO CCFS, CONDUCT COMPLAINT INVESTIGATIONS AND FOLLOW THROUGH, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN OPENING AND OPERATING FDC HOME OR SACC PROGRAM, AND RENEWAL PROCESSING. CONTRACT YEAR IS JANUARY 1 THROUGH DECEMBER 31. CONTRACT IS WITH CHEMUNG COUNTY. CHEMUNG COUNTY HAS A CONTRACT WITH NYS OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES FOR THESE FUNDS.
