THE PRIMARY MISSION OF BJANA IS TO CARRY OUT, PROMOTE AND COORDINATE PHILANTHROPIC, EDUCATIONAL, CHARITIES, AND VOLUNTARY ACTIVITIES SERVING PHYSICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE IN THE INDIAN STATES OF BIHAR AND JHARKHAND, AND TO INTEGRATE INDIAN COMMUNITIES ACROSS NORTH AMERICA, WHO HAVE ORIGINS IN INDIAN STATES OF BIHAR AND JHARKHAND, THROUGH STRONG COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION,CELEBRATION OF CULTURAL FESTIVALS AND PROMOTION OF INDIAN CULTURE AMONG YOUNGER GENERATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

PROVIDING ONE YEAR OF MEALS TO 60 ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN IN JHARKHAND THROUGH ASHA CHILDREN HOMES, WHICH SERVES CHILDREN IN NEED OF CARE AND PROTECTION.THESE CHILDREN INCLUDE ORPHANS WHO HOMELESS AND SURVIVORS OF CHILD LABOR, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, AND CHILD MARRIAGE. ADDITIONALLY, WE ARE SUPPORTING THE ASHTHA CHARITABLE TRUST WITH OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY EQUIPMENT, AS POOR AND DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN OFTEN LACK ACCESS TO SUCH THERAPY. WE ARE LAUNCHING AN INITIATIVE TO PROVIDE BASIC EQUIPMENT TO A CENTER MANAGED BY OUR PARTNER, AASTHA CHARITABLE & WELFARE SOCIETY, IN PATNA, INDIA.
