CENTERS AND PROGRAMS CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE OINCLUDES VERA'S IMMIGRATION WORK WITHIN CENTER ON IMMIGRATION AND JUSTICE. IMMIGRATION PROGRAMS INCLUDE LEGAL ORIENTATION PROGRAM, NATIONAL QUALIFIED REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM, AND IMMIGRATION COURT HELPDESK TO PROVIDE LEGAL SERVICES TO ADULTS IN IMMIGRATION DETENTION. ALSO INCLUDES UNACCOMPANIED MINORS PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES LEGAL SERVICES TO UNACCOMPANIED MINORS UNDER CARE WITH HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. ALSO THE FOLLOWING INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS: RESTORING PROMISE, IN OUR BACKYARDS, SAFE NETWORK, UNLOCKING POTENTIAL, ENDING GIRLS' INCARCERATION, RESHAPING PROSECUTION, JAIL DECARCERATION, JUSTICE FINES AND FEES, REDEFINING PUBLIC SAFETY, NY IMMIGRANT FAMILY UNITY PROJECT, AND WORK OF THE CENTER ON VICTIMIZATION AND SAFETY. PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ALSO INCLUDE VERA'S COMMUNICATION AND EXTERNAL AFFAIRS WORK, ADVOCACY, AND INNOVATION/PIPELINE WORK (DEVELOPMENT OF NEW IDEAS).
DEMONSTRATION PROJECT INCLUDES VERA'S GUARDIANSHIP PROJECT, WHICH SERVES AS COURT-APPOINTED AGENCY GUARDIANS TO ELDERLY OR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS WHO LACK FAMILY OR OTHER SUPPORT NETWORKS. EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2020, THE GUARDIANSHIP PROJECT (A VERA DEMONSTRATION PROJECT) SPUN-OFF TO FORM A SOLE-MEMBER 501(C)(3) CALLED PROJECT GUARDIANSHIP, INC. (PG).
