RESTORING PROMISE:RESTORING PROMISE IS AN INITIATIVE THAT CREATES HOUSING UNITS GROUNDED IN DIGNITY FOR YOUNG ADULTS IN PRISON, DISRUPTING HARMFUL PRISON PRACTICES AND POLICIES THROUGH COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. THE TEAM WORKS IN COLORADO, CONNECTICUT, IDAHO, MASSACHUSETTS, NORTH DAKOTA, AND SOUTH CAROLINA.

THIS INVOLVES SUPPORTING PROSECUTORS IN PUTTING THEIR CAMPAIGN PROMISES INTO ACTION AS CONCRETE, DATA-INFORMED POLICIES AND PRACTICES, DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES TO REDUCE INCARCERATION, PROMOTE RACIAL EQUITY AND INCREASE THE PUBLIC'S CONFIDENCE IN THEIR OFFICE. RESHAPING PROSECUTION'S WORK IS GUIDED BY THREE PRINCIPLES, WITH A FOCUS ON SUPPORTING SAFER COMMUNITIES: SHRINKING THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ENTER THE CRIMINAL LEGAL SYSTEM; ADDRESSING SYSTEMIC RACIAL DISPARITIES; AND INCREASING ACCOUNTABILITY TO DIRECTLY IMPACTED COMMUNITIES.
ADVANCING UNIVERSAL REPRESENTATION:THE ADVANCING UNIVERSAL REPRESENTATION INITIATIVE IS DRIVING A NATIONAL MOVEMENT FOR UNIVERSAL REPRESENTATION. OUR GOAL IS TO ESTABLISH A FEDERAL RIGHT TO REPRESENTATION FOR ALL IMMIGRANTS FACING DEPORTATION. BY FIGHTING FOR UNIVERSAL REPRESENTATION, THE INITIATIVE AND ITS PARTNERS ARE KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER; DISRUPTING THE CRIMINALIZATION AND DEPORTATION OF IMMIGRANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND PROTECTING PEOPLE FROM THE DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS OF IMMIGRATION DETENTION.
