EDUCATION AND RESOURCES: PROVIDE MEMBERS WITH THE VARIOUS PUBLICATIONS, WHICH COMMUNICATE REGULATIONS AND POLICIES AFFECTING WOMEN IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY AND THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THE AWM PROJECTS. PROVIDE ACCESS TO NETWORKING ACCESS TO AN EXPANDING COMMUNITY OF EXPERIENCED, INFLUENTIAL AND INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN IN ALL FORMS OF MEDIA.
THE AWM HOLDS AN ANNUAL EVENT ENTITLED "GRACIES LEADERSHIP AWARDS" THAT PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECOGNIZE AND CELEBRATE THE SIGNIFICANT IMPACT WOMEN HAVE MADE IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY, WHILE ALSO SPURRING TO ACTION AND EMBOLDENING FEMALE LEADERS IN ATTENDANCE.
NETWORKING/MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES: AWM CONNECTS IS A VIRTUAL MENTORING PROGRAM OFFERED BY AWM THAT CONNECTS YOUNG/NEW PROFESSIONALS WITH SENIOR LEVEL EXECUTIVES THROUGHOUT TELEVISION, RADIO AND DIGITAL MEDIA. AWM HOSTS A BREAKFAST DURING THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS ANNUAL CONFERENCE THAT PROVIDES NETWORKING AND EDUCATION DISCUSSION WITH LEADERS IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY. (THIS EVENT WAS NOT HELD IN 2021 DUE TO COVID, HOWEVER, IT IS AN ONGOING PROGRAM THAT RETURNED IN 2022)
