THE ORGANIZATION OWNS A PLANETARIUM WITH ASSOCIATED EXHIBITS TO ENCOURAGE AND DEVELOP THE STUDY OF ASTRONOMICAL SCIENCE AND TO ADVANCE THE KNOWLEDGE OF KINDRED SUBJECTS. THE PLANETARIUM IS TYPICALLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 363 DAYS A YEAR. HOWEVER, IN MID-MARCH 2020, THE PLANETARIUM WAS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE PLANETARIUM IS CURRENTLY ON A REDUCED SCHEDULE OF 5 DAYS A WEEK PER GOVERNMENT MANDATED CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS. THE PLANETARIUM IS OPERATED UNDER A LEASE AND OPERATING AGREEMENT WITH THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY.
