UNCOVERS THE HOPE OF JESUS CHRIST AS WE PURSUE & BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE HOMELESS, MEETING THEIR BASIC NEEDS, OFFERING THEM TOOLS FOR SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT TO THOSE WE SERVE.

HOMELESS OUTREACH - BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS, MEETING NEEDS & OFFERING RESOURCES TO THE HOMELESS:AS A RELATIONAL MINISTRY, WE ENGAGE IN VARIOUS OUTREACH ACROSS THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH. WE VISIT THE HOMELESS IN SHELTERS, DROP-IN CENTERS, AND CAMPS WHERE THEY ARE LIVING OUTSIDE. DURING THESE ENCOUNTERS, WE LISTEN TO THE NEEDS OF THE HOMELESS AND SEEK TO CONNECT THEM TO VARIOUS RESOURCES THAT CAN HELP THEM REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. WE ALSO BRING ALONG SUPPLIES SUCH AS WATER, CLOTHING, JOB REFERRALS AND MORE TO HELP EMPOWER PEOPLE TO TURN THEIR LIVES AROUND.
DONOR COMMUNICATIONS - ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY:WE UNCOVER HOPE BY ENGAGING, TRAINING, AND EMPOWERING THE COMMUNITY. WE REGULARLY TRAIN AND EQUIP VOLUNTEER GROUPS TO VISIT THE HOMELESS AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY EVENTS QUARTERLY THAT BRING TOGETHER THE HOMELESS WITH THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE TO DISPEL STEREOTYPES AND BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS. WE ALSO OFFER INTERNSHIPS AND IMMERSION EXPERIENCES THAT FOCUS ON GIVING INTERESTED PEOPLE FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE WORKING IN HOMELESS MINISTRY.
