RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER (RTC) OFFERS A HOME-LIKE SETTING IN ITS THREE FAMILY-STYLE APARTMENTS, WHERE YOUTH ARE ASSIGNED TO SEMI-PRIVATE BEDROOMS WITH SHARED RECREATIONAL AND LIVING FACILITIES.
A NON-SECURE PLACEMENT PROGRAM UNDER THE CLOSE TO HOME INITIATIVE FOR 12 ADOLESCENT MALES ON OUR CAMPUS. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A SAFE AND SECURE RESIDENTIAL SETTING FOR ADJUDICATED YOUTH, CLOSE TO THEIR FAMILIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS. THE BOYS LIVE IN A FAMILY STYLE APARTMENTS AND ATTEND OUR ON-GROUNDS SCHOOL. THE APARTMENT IS EQUIPPED WITH CAMERAS AND ALARMS TO ENSURE MAXIMUM SAFETY FOR YOUTH, STAFF AND THE COMMUNITY.
NON-SECURE DETENTION (NSD) GROUP HOME IS LOCATED IN A PRIVATE HOME IN THE RICHMOND HILL SECTION OF QUEENS. THE CAPACITY OF THE GROUP HOME IS TEN BOYS. YOUTH WHO HAVE BEEN ARRESTED FOR LOW-LEVEL CRIMES STAY IN THE GROUP HOME WHILE THEIR CASES ARE PROCEEDING. THIS IS A SHORT TERM PROGRAM WITH A GOAL OF DETAINING YOUTH IN A HOME-LIKE SETTING. THE BOYS ATTEND A SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR NSD YOUTH.
