THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES FUNDING FOR A SATURDAY PROGRAMFOR DISABLED CHILDREN AGES 2-11, WHICH IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE RESPITE CARE AND SOCIAL/RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIESFOR APPROXIMATELY 20-25 CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER ANDOTHER CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. PLAYACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED TO ADDRESS THE FUNCTIONAL LEVEL OF EACH CHILD.THE FOCUS OF THE PROGRAM IS TO DEVELOP SOCIAL SKILLS, SELF ESTEEMBUILDING, ACTIVITIES AND ENGAGEMENT WITH PEERS AND ADULTS. THE PROGRAMIS AN INCLUSIVE, COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAM SEEKING TO DEVELOP/ENHANCECRITICAL SOCIAL AND FUNCTIONAL SKILLS TO ASSIST WITH A CHILD'S ABILITYTO INTEGRATE MORE FULLY WITHIN THE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAMOFFERS A RANGE OF DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING MOVEMENT AND MUSIC.
