QUEENS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA QSO PRODUCES THREE CONCERT SERIES, PLUS AN EDUCATIONAL SERIES THE FAMILY CONCERT SERIES, THE MASTERWORKS CONCERT SERIES, THE CONCERTS ON THE GREEN CONCERT SERIES, AND SYMPHONY 101. FOR THE 2023 SEASON, 15 CONCERTS WERE PRESENTED FREE OF CHARGE WITH A CUMULATIVE ATTENDANCE OF OVER 5,000 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, INCLUDING CHILDREN. QSO SERVES RESIDENTS OF THE MOST CULTURALLY DIVERSE COUNTY IN THE WORLD. WE ASPIRE TO PROMOTE THE ESSENTIAL VALUES OF CLASSICAL MUSIC THROUGH OUR LIVE PERFORMANCES AND INFORMAL INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THE CONDUCTOR AND AUDIENCE. PROGRAMMING INCLUDES TRADITIONAL CLASSICAL WORKS, INCLUDING TEMPORARY COMPOSERS. CONCERTS WERE HELD IN 12 NEIGHBORHOOD VENUES THROUGHOUT QUEENS, RANGING FROM LIBRARIES TO THE LARGE CONCERT HALL. WE WORK HARD TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES WITH MUSIC RELATED TO THE POPULATION OF THAT COMMUNITY. AS NOTED, ALL QSO CONCERTS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC. IN ADDITION TO PUBLIC FUNDING, QSO HOSTS AN ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA AND FUNDRAISERS THAT FURTHER INTEGRATE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR THE ARTS.
