CANYS IS AN ORGANIZATION OF PREVENTION EDUCATION, INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT AGENCIES THROUGHOUT NYS THAT MEETS TO ADDRESS CONCERNS AND ISSUES AFFECTING THE PRACTICE OF PREVENTION, INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT AS WELL AS ISSUES OF ORGANIZATIONAL EFFICIENCY INCLUDING ADMINISTRATIVE, MANAGERIAL, PROGRAMMATIC, FISCAL AND BOARD AND STAFF CONCERNS. MEMBER AGENCIES COMPRISE A GOOD GEOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF NY STATE. IN 2022, 6 BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEETINGS AND 6 MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS WERE HELD WITH A VARIETY OF TOPICS DISCUSSED INCLUDING FUNDING, MOBILE BETTING, NYS 1115 WAIVER AND THE NEW CANNABIS LEGISLATION.
