PROTECTING RAINFOREST HABITAT, FAUNA AND WILDLIFE IN AND AROUND MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK, COSTA RICA.

Part 3 - Line 4a
OPERATION OF A REHABILITATION AND SANCTUARY CENTER FOR THE RAINFOREST WILDLIFE. PRESERVE RAINFOREST LAND. THE CENTER REHABILITATES, CARE FOR AND RELEASES BACK INTO THE RAINFOREST WILDLIFE. THE CENTER ALSO PROVIDES A SANCTUARY FOR WILDLIFE THAT CANNOT BE RELEASED INTO THE WILD. THE CENTER ALSO SERVES TO PRESERVE THE LAND THAT THE ORGANIZATION OWNS. THE ORGANIZATION RESCUED OVER 180 ANIMALS AND CARED FOR 35 ANIMALS IN THE SANCTUARY.
VOLUNTEER CENTER WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES TO FURTHER THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION. THE VOLUNTEER CENTER WHICH CONSISTS OF A BUILDING AND GROUNDS AND SERVES AS LOCATION TO ORGANIZE VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES (INCLUDING VOLUNTEERING AT THE REHABILITATION CENTER, SANCTUARY AND EDUCATIONAL CENTER). IN AN EFFORT TO ATTRACT VOLUNTEERS, THE CENTER PROVIDES ROOM AND BOARD FOR A NOMINAL FEE. THE ORGANIZATION TOOK IN VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS TO TEACH THEM ABOUT WILDLIFE MEDICINE TO FURTHER THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION.
EDUCATION. EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS RUN AN EDUCATION CENTER, GIFT SHOP, PLANT A TREE PROGRAM, STAFF GIVES EDUCATIONAL COURSES AND HANDS ON ACTIVITIES TO GROUPS TO FURTHER THEIR CAREERS AND INTEREST, AND GIVE SANCTUARY TOURS. THE PROGRAM FURTHERS THE ORGANIZATIONS PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE RAINFORESTS' HABITAT, WILDLIFE AND FAUNA.
