THE ORGANIZATION'S STATED PURPOSE IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR MAKING GRANTS AVAILABLE TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS DEDICATED TO MAKING LASTING, POSITIVE DIFFERENCES IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THEIR COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE SALE OF CLOTHING AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ORGANIZATION SOLICITS DONATIONS OF CLOTHING AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THEN SELLS THE DONATED ITEMS TO AN UNRELATED THIRD PARTY. THE MANAGEMENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS BELIEVE THAT THE HOUSEHOLD RECYCLING ACTIVITY IS A PROGRAM SERVICE OF THE ORGANIZATION AND THAT THE EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAM ARE REPORTED AS PROGRAM SERVICE EXPENSE. THE EXCESS REVENUE FROM THE OPERATION OF THE RECYCLING PROGRAM IS THEN USED TO FUND GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS MAKING LASTING, POSTIVE DIFFERENCES IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THEIR COMMUNITIES.
