THE BOSTON COLLEGIATE CHARTER SCHOOL FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION) SUPPORTS BOSTON COLLEGIATE CHARTER SCHOOL BY PROVIDING PHILANTHROPIC DOLLARS, FACILITIES, AND LEADERSHIP. IN FY22, PHILANTHROPIC FUNDS FROM THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED BOTH RESTRICTED AND UNRESTRICTED BUDGET OFFSETTO THE SCHOOL FOR ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL'S CORE ACADEMIC PROGRAM. EXAMPLES OF INITIATIVES FUNDED BY PHILANTHROPY IN FY22 INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: ALUMNI SUPPORT; COLLEGE AND CAREER EXPOSURE; SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING INTERVENTIONS; DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION TRAINING; AND THE SCHOOL'S STUDENTS IN NEED PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES BASIC NEEDS--SUCH AS WINTER COATS, UNIFORMS, AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES -- TO STUDENTS AND FAMILIES WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY.THE BOSTON COLLEGIATE CHARTER SCHOOL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE SCHOOL'S OVERALL MISSION OF PREPARING EACH OF ITS 700 STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE. WITH SUPPORT FROM THE FOUNDATION, BOSTON COLLEGIATE IS PROUD OF THE FOLLOWING ACCOMPLISHMENTS ACHIEVED IN FY22:- FOR THE NINETEENTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR, 100% OF BOSTON COLLEGIATE'S DIPLOMA-EARNING GRADUATES EARNED ACCEPTANCE TO A FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE;- MEMBERS OF THE BCCS CLASS OF 2022 EARNED ADMITTANCE TO NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY, TUFTS UNIVERSITY, AND UCLA, AS WELL AS EVERY SCHOOL WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS STATE SCHOOL SYSTEM;- IN A DEMONSTRATION OF ITS COMMITMENT TO ISSUES OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION, 92% OF BOSTON COLLEGIATE'S STAFF COMPLETED TIER ONE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE TRAINING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY'S CENTER FOR RESTORATIVE JUSTICE.
