TO ACCOMPLISH ITS MISSION, THE HUNTER COLLEGE FOUNDATION ENGAGES IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:- ACTIVELY PROMOTES HUNTER COLLEGE, INCLUDING ALL OF ITS SCHOOLS, PROGRAMS, CENTERS, AND CAMPUSES- CULTIVATES RELATIONSHIPS THAT LEAD TO FUNDING- ENGAGES CURRENT AND POTENTIAL DONORS IN THE LIFE OF THE COLLEGE- MANAGES INVESTMENTS JUDICIOUSLY- ENSURES THAT RESTRICTED FUNDS ARE UTILIZED FOR DONOR-RESTRICTED PURPOSESAREAS OF SUPPORT INCLUDE:- FACULTY RECRUITMENT, DEVELOPMENT, AND RETENTION- ACCESS FOR QUALIFIED STUDENTS, INCLUDING SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS- STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES- PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT- MATERIAL, TECHNOLOGY, AND EQUIPMENT- FACILITY DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE

FACILITY RENOVATIONS:THE HUNTER COLLEGE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE REPAIRS, RENOVATION AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE FACILITIES AT HUNTER COLLEGE SUCH AS RENOVATION OF THE LIBRARY, UPGRADES TO CLASSROOMS AND LABORATORIES AND PURCHASE OF STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT. THIS SUPPORTS THE COLLEGE IN ITS ENDEAVOR TO OFFER ITS STUDENTS THE BEST FACILITIES AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ACADEMIC PROGRAMS TO HELP ADVANCE EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND FURTHER CURRICULUM AND FACULTY DEVELOPMENT. THE FOUNDATION ALSO HELPS TO SUPPORT AND CREATE NEW PROGRAMS AND DEPARTMENTS.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS: THE HUNTER COLLEGE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES A VARIETY OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING STUDENTS BASED ON CRITERIA SUCH AS MERIT, NEED, GRADE POINT AVERAGE AND DECLARATION OF A MAJOR COURSE OF STUDY. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN EDUCATING THE NEXT GENERATION OF CITIZENS AND PERPETUATING THE EXTRAORDINARY HUNTER COMMUNITY OF SCHOLARS, STUDENTS AND ALUMNI. APPROXIMATELY 1,780 STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS THROUGH THE HUNTER COLLEGE FOUNDATION IN THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,2022.DUE TO EXTRAORDINARY PANDEMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AT THE END OF FISCAL YEAR 2021-22, HUNTER COLLEGE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTED 655 EMERGENCY STIPENDS (APPROXIMATELY $293,662) AND TECHNOLOGY TO STUDENTS IN NEED IN FISCAL YEAR 2021-22.
