WE PROVIDED FUNDING TO THE EXPENSES REQUIRED TO HOLD THE FOLLOWING MEETINGS AND MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: 9 GENERAL MONTHLY MEETINGS (40-65 ATTENDING EACH MEETING); MEETINGS HELD WITH PTA COUNCIL, BOARD OF EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS; PROGRAMS FOR RETIREES; MEMBERSHIP ANNUAL MEETING; TEACHER RECOGNITION PROGRAM; CONTRACT NEGOTIATION MEETINGS; MEETINGS TO INFORM MEMBERS OF EDUCATIONAL ISSUES AND INITIATIVES.
DONATIONS TO BARNARD MEMORIAL FUND TO AID CEA RETIREES IN THE STATE = $1800. $3000 DONATED TO THE GEA SCHOLARSHIP FUND BY THE GEA. DONATIONS WERE TO THE STATE AFFILIATE (CEA) FOR PROGRAMS TO AID CHILDREN: $100 FOR EMAC SCHOLARSHIP, $100 FOR CEF SCHOLARSHIP, $2750 DONATED TO PAY FOR MEMBERSHIPS FOR 5 NEWLY RETIRED MEMBERS TO THE STATE (CEA) AND NATIONAL (NEA) AFFILIATES, AND $3300 DONATED TO TO GEA SCHOLARSHIP FUND IN THE NAME OF 6 NEWLY RETIRED MEMBERS. 13 SCHOLARSHIPS OF $675 AND 1 SCHOLARSHIP OF $1500 WERE GIVEN TO COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND/OR THE MEMBERSHIP-AT-LARGE BASED ON FINANCIAL NEED AND MERIT.
