Part 3 - Line 4a
MONTESSORI SCHOOL OF GREATER HARTFORD (MSGH) IS ACCREDITED BY THE CONNECTICUT ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS AND RECOGNIZED BY ASSOCIATION MONTESSORI INTERNATIONALE. WE OFFER EXCEPTIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH THROUGH 9TH GRADE. AN INFANT/PARENT PROGRAM THAT EDUCATES. A TODDLER PROGRAM THAT ENGAGES. A PRIMARY PROGRAM THAT INSPIRES. AN ELEMENTARY PROGRAM THAT FOSTERS SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP AND ADAPTABILITY. AND, AN ADOLESCENT PROGRAM THAT CHALLENGES STUDENTS THROUGH RIGOROUS ACADEMIC STUDIES AND PURPOSEFUL, LAND-BASED WORK. OUR STUDENTS, FROM THE MOMENT THEY BEGIN THEIR JOURNEY WITH US, ARE TOTALLY IMMERSED IN DUAL LANGUAGE CLASSROOMS - BOTH SPANISH AND ENGLISH. WE BELIEVE THAT CHILDREN SHOULD EXPLORE THEIR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS AND, THEREFORE, ATTACHED GARDEN AREAS ARE EXTENSIONS OF THE CLASSROOMS. AT MSGH, WE NOT ONLY SERVE OUR FAMILIES BUT BELIEVE IN GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. OUR STAFF ARE EXPERTS IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND ARE OFTEN CALLED UPON TO LECTURE AT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. OUR OUTREACH PROGRAM ENRICHES FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE GREATER HARTFORD AREA. WE OFFER NUMEROUS PARENTING COURSES WHICH HELP PARENTS UNDERSTAND THE DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN. AS OUR NAME SUGGESTS, WE DRAW FROM THE DIVERSE GREATER HARTFORD COMMUNITY WHICH IS REFLECTED IN OUR STUDENT POPULATION. OUR FINANCIAL AID PROGRAM IS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT TO INCREASING THIS DIVERSITY AND MAINTAINING THE OVERALL HEALTH OF OUR PROGRAM.
