RHODE ISLAND EXECUTIVE OFFICES OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (EOHHS), RI MEDICAID RECEIVED AN AWARD FROM THE CENTER FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES TO IMPLEMENT A DEMONSTRATION PROJECT TO INCREASE SUBSTANCE USE PROVIDER CAPACITY. RHODE ISLAND MEDICAID'S PROVIDER CAPACITY BUILDING INITIATIVE (PCBI) IS LED BY RI MEDICAID IN COLLABORATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND HOSPITALS. EOHHS HAS CONTRACTED WITH SUMHLC TO SUPPORT PROVIDERS WITH TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TTA), AND RECRUITING TO ADDRESS DISPARITIES IN CARE AND TO INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF OUTCOMES.
