TO PROMOTE MARINE EDUCATION AND DESSEMINATE MARINE EDUCATION MATERIALS FOR USE BY TEACHERS, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND STUDENTS. NMEA PUBLISHES 4 EDITIONS OF ITS ACADEMIC JOURNAL, CURRENT, EACH YEAR, WHICH IS DISTRIBUTED TO OVER 1,000 MEMBERS MARINE AND AQUATIC EDUCATORS, COLLEGE PROFESSORS OF MARINE SCIENCE, ETC. NMEA CONDUCTS ONE ANNUAL CONFERENCE EACH SUMMER IN COLLABORATION WITH ITS MANY CHAPTERS. K - 12 AND COLLEGE TEACHERS ARE A TARGET AUDIENCE, AND ATTENDANCE AVERAGES 450 INDIVIDUALS. OVER 500 PEOPLE ATTEND CONFERENCES ORGANIZED BY NMEA AND THE SWMEA SOUTHWEST MARINE EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION AT THE MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM.
