TO CREATE AND PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN SAN JUAN DEL SUR, NICARAGUA BY PROMOTING THE CREATION AND SUSTAINABILITY OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM THAT BENEFITS THE PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY.

PROVIDED 65 STUDENTS WITH FULL SCHOLARSHIPS TO INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING IN NICARAGUA. ADDITIONALLY, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, ONLINE LEARNING RESOURCES WERE PROVIDED TO ASSIST STUDENTS WITH DISTANCE LEARNING.
PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR THE COMMUNITY OF SAN JUAN DEL SUR AND SURROUNDING AREAS THROUGH VARIOUS COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS. PROJECTS INCLUDED HEALTH PROGRAMS, READING/WRITING REINFORCEMENT, EDUCATION IN ELECTRICITY EFFICIENCY, AND VOCATIONAL COUNSELING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. TEN GROUPS EXECUTED PROJECTS IN RURAL COMMUNITIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS OF SAN JUAN DEL SUR. EIGHT COMMUNITIES AND TWO HIGH SCHOOLS, ALONG WITH 250 PEOPLE BENEFITED FROM THE PROJECTS.
STUDENTS IN MEDICAL SCIENCES, ECONOMIC SCIENCES, AND TEACHING RECEIVED TRAINING BY SPECIALISTS AS THEY DEVELOPED THEIR COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT. SIXTY-TWO TEENAGERS AND MOTHERS WERE BENEFITED BY THE PROJECT OF REPRODUCTIVE AND SEXUAL HEALTH (DAY FOR GIRLS), WHICH INCLUDES THE GIFT OF A WASHABLE SANITARY NAPKIN KIT.
