BEAR-PAW REGIONAL GREENWAYS IS A LAND TRUST WITH A MISSION TO PERMANENTLY CONSERVE A NETWORK OF LANDS THAT PROTECTS OUR REGIONS WATER, WILDLIFE HABITAT, FORESTS, AND FARMLAND.

LAND PROTECTION AND STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM: COMPLETED CONSERVATION EASEMENTS. SECURED FUNDING FOR LAND PROTECTION PROJECT TRANSACTION COSTS AND STEWARDSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS SECURED GRANTS FOR CONSERVATION EASEMENT PURCHASE PROJECTS MET WITH PRIVATE LANDOWNERS INTERESTED IN CONSIDERING CONSERVATION OPTIONS FOR THEIR PROPERTIES. BOARD MEMBERS AND STAFF REGULARLY MET WITH CONSERVATION COMMISSIONS TO COLLABORATE ON LAND PROTECTION PROJECTS AND PLANNING. BOARD MEMBERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND STAFF COMPLETED CONSERVATION EASEMENT MONITORING ON ALL CONSERVATION EASEMENTS.


OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM: PUBLISHED TWO (2) NEWSLETTERS AND DISTRIBUTED THEM TO MEMBERS, LANDOWNERS, LOCAL OFFICIALS, AND AREA RESIDENTS. HELD ANNUAL MEETING IN JANUARY FOR MEMBERS, LANDOWNERS, LOCAL OFFICIALS, AND AREA RESIDENTS. SPONSORED, ATTENDED, OR PROVIDED CONSERVATION INFORMATION AT COMMUNITY EVENTS. SENT OUT LETTERS THAT DESCRIBING BEAR PAW'S LAND CONSERVATION EFFORTS AND THE CONSERVATION ISSUES TO MEMBERS, AREA RESIDENTS, AND LOCAL LANDOWNERS.
