TEACHING TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION TO 18,577 PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES IN VENUES OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION AND CONSCIOUSNESS BASED EDUCATION WAS TAUGHT TO 1,249 STUDENTS, IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL SETTINGS. IT ALSO WAS TAUGHT TO VETERANS AND OTHERS WITH PTSD. GRANT FUNDING WAS INCLUDED IN THE EXPENSES OF THIS PROGRAM TO ACCOMMODATE MORE INDIVIDUALS. 1,206 PARTICIPANTS ENROLLED IN THE ADVANCED PROGRAMS OF TRANCENDENTAL MEDITATION. THE PROGRAM WAS PREDOMINANTLY TAUGHT BY TRAVELING EXPERT FACULTY WHO VISITED CITIES ALL OVER THE U.S.
