THE MASSACHUSETTS LODGING ASSOCIATION, INC.'S FIRST COMMITMENT IS TO CREATE AND IMPLEMENT AN AGRESSIVE PROGRAM TO DEVELOP THE BUSINESS AND LEISURE INDUSTRY IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS. ITS SECOND COMMITMENT IS TO CREATE A BETTER BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT THROUGH LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS AND NETWORKING WITH RELATED ASSOCIATIONS. MEMBERS PAY AN ANNUAL FEE AND IN RETURN RECEIVE INDUSTRY REPRESENTATION AS WELL AS SPECIAL RATES ON MLA BENEFITS. SOME OF THESE BENEFITS INCLUDE EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, NEWSLETTERS AND MAILINGS ABOUT PERTINENT HOSPITALITY AND LEGISLATIVE MATTERS. GREAT ESCAPES IS A VISITOR'S GUIDE PRODUCED BY THE MLA AND IS PARTIALLY UNDER-WRITTEN BY THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS OFFICE OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM.
