BOSTON CASA (COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES) WORKS WITH SOME OF THE MOST VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY: COURT-INVOLVED CHILDREN IN SUFFOLK AND MIDDLESEX COUNTIES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE AND NEGLECT. MORE THAN 80 PERCENT OF OUR CHILDREN ARE BIPOC, REFLECTING MANY OF OUR SOCIETY'S MOST CHALLENGING ISSUES, INCLUDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, POVERTY, LGBTQ DISCRIMINATION, AND RACIAL AND SOCIAL INJUSTICES. SINCE 2012, BOSTON CASA HAS INCREASED ITS VOLUNTEER BASE BY MORE THAN 627 PERCENT AND CHILDREN BY MORE THAN 400 PERCENT. IN FY23, BOSTON CASA DEVELOPED A FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC GROWTH PLAN TO INCREASE THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH SERVED IN SUFFOLK AND MIDDLESEX COUNTIES FROM 15 PERCENT TO 47 PERCENT BY 2028.
