THE MISSION OF THE NEW ENGLAND INDEPENDENT BOOKSELLERS ASSOCIATION IS TO FURTHER THE SUCCESS OF PROFESSIONAL INDEPENDENT BOOKSELLERS IN NEW ENGLAND AND TO FOSTER A VITAL AND SUPPORTIVE BOOKSELLING COMMUNITY.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND TRADE SHOW - AS ONE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS SUBSTANTIAL ACTIVITIES, THIS EVENT GATHERS BOOKSELLERS, AUTHORS, PUBLISHERS, DISTRIBUTORS, AND INDUSTRY VENDORS, MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS ALIKE, TO PROMOTE THE TRADE AND PRODUCTS. FURTHERMORE, IT EDUCATES PEOPLE ABOUT NEW PRODUCTS, SERVICES, TECHNIQUES, AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THE TRADE. IT IS ALSO THE SITE OF THE ASSOCIATIONS ANNUAL MEETING.
EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS - PROGRAMS TO HELP BOOKSELLERS, MEMBERS, AND NON-MEMBERS, GENERATE MORE INTEREST AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE TRADE AND THE PRODUCTS/BOOKS THEY SELL.
