ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND TRADE SHOW - AS ONE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S SUBSTANTIAL ACTIVITIES, THIS EVENT GATHERS BOOKSELLERS, AUTHORS, PUBLISHERS, DISTRIBUTORS, AND INDUSTRY VENDORS, MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS ALIKE, TO PROMOTE THE TRADE AND PRODUCTS. FURTHERMORE, IT EDUCATES PEOPLE ABOUT NEW PRODUCTS, SERVICES, TECHNIQUES, AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THE TRADE. IT IS ALSO THE SITE OF THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL MEETING. THIS YEAR'S CONFERENCE WAS HELD VIRTUALLY AND 83 STORES WERE REPRESENTED.
EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS - PROGRAMS TO HELP BOOKSELLERS, MEMBERS, AND NON-MEMBERS, GENERATE MORE INTEREST AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE TRADE AND THE PRODUCTS/BOOKS THEY SELL. TWENTY INFORMAL GATHERINGS WERE CONVENED BY THE ASSOCIATION WHERE MEMBERS IN VARIOUS GEOGRAPHIC AREAS IN NEW ENGLAND DISCUSS BUSINESS TOPICS OF GENERAL INTEREST, SHARE IDEAS AND WORK ON RESOLVING COMMON PROBLEMS AND ISSUES.
ANNUAL CATALOGUE - A PROMOTIONAL CATALOGUE PROGRAM TO HELP FOSTER INTEREST IN READING AND THE SALE OF BOOKS. APPROXIMATELY 675,000 COPIES WERE CIRCULATED TO BOOKSTORES AND READERS AROUND NEW ENGLAND.
