ONE OF OVER 1,200 WALDORF SCHOOLS WORLDWIDE, WALDORF SCHOOL OF LEXINGTON (WSL) SERVES NEARLY 200 STUDENTS FROM PRESCHOOL THROUGH GRADE EIGHT. OUR PROGRAM FEATURES HIGHLY TRAINED, EXPERIENCED FACULTY AND AN ACADEMIC CURRICULUM THAT IS CAREFULLY MAPPED TO CHILDREN'S SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES. THE CORNERSTONE OF WSL'S EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM IS CREATIVE FREE PLAY. WE ARE INTENTIONAL IN OUR FOCUS ON DEVELOPMENT AT EARLY AGES AND DO NOT ACCELERATE ACADEMIC LEARNING IN PRESCHOOL OR KINDERGARTEN. THE SCHOOL OPENED FOR FULL IN-PERSON CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER 2020, FOLLOWING CLOSURE IN SPRING 2020 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.THE SCHOOL ADOPTED SIGNIFICANT SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND MODIFIED A VARIETY OF ITS PROGRAMS TO ALLOW SAFER DELIVERY OF IN-PERSON LEARNING. THE SCHOOL WAS FULLY OPEN WITH IN PERSON LEARNING FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR.
