FOR OVER SIX DECADES, OUR CHAMBER HAS BEEN CONNECTING BUSINESSES AND NON-PROFITS TO RESOURCES, PROVIDING NETWORKING, EDUCATION, SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, VISIBILITY, AND MARKETING. WITH 376 MEMBERS, 11,000+ CONTACTS, AND A VERY ACTIVE WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE, WE TAKE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT, HIGHLIGHT, AND FEATURE THE WORK OF OUR MEMBERS. IN 2023, OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CLAUDIA PAZMANY WAS CELEBRATED AS A 2023 BUSINESSWEST DIFFERENCE MAKER, ALONG WITH THE AMHERST BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR THEIR "UNPRECEDENTED PARTNERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP TO BUILD A STRONGER COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT COVID. OUR GIFT CARD PROGRAM HAS BROUGHT OVER $110,000 TO PARTICIPATING MEMBERS, REINFORCING OUR SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS AND 'SUPPORT LOCAL' INITIATIVES. WE LEVERAGED $13,000 IN SUPPORT OF OUR LOCAL NONPROFITS THROUGH EITHER DIRECT CONTRIBUTIONS OR MONIES RAISED AT OUR EVENTS; THIS INCLUDES FOUR $1000 SCHOLARSHIPS TO OUR AMHERST AREA PUBLIC SCHOOL GRADUATES FOR FOUR GRADUATES ATTENDING COLLEGES IN MASSACHUSETTS GOING ON TO STUDY IN MEDICAL OR BUSINESS RELATED FIELDS, CO-SPONSORED BY COOLEY DICKINSON HOSPITAL. WE CONTINUE TO OFFER MYRIAD CHAMBER RESOURCES, HANDS-ON BUSINESS SUPPORT, AND COACHING.BY JOINING OUR AMHERST AREA CHAMBER, MEMBERS BENEFIT FROM OUR ADVOCACY, CONNECTION, AND CATALYST FOR BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
