THE AMHERST AREA CHAMBER CONTINUED DIRECT SUPPORT OF SMALL BUSINESSES AS A RESULT OF THE NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF COVID THROUGH CONTINUED OUR CONTINUED AMHERST AREA GIFT CARD PROGRAM, OUR WINTER MICROGRANT SUPPORT, RESTAURANT SUPPORT THROUGH OUR SHARED DINNER DELIGHTS PROGRAM (DELIVERED TOGETHER WITH THE AMHERST BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT) AND THE CREATION OF A DESTINATION MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR THE SEVEN AREA TOWNS WE SERVE. THE CHAMBER RETURNED TO IN-PERSON SIGNATURE EVENTS INCLUDING: MARGARITA MADNESS (OUTDOOR) , ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT (OUTDOOR) AND THE ANNUAL A+ AWARDS IN PERSON AT THE BRAND NEW UMASS STUDENT UNION BALLROOM, BUT WE HOSTED MANY ONLINE TRAININGS AND PROGRAMMING AND DISCONTINUED TRADITIONAL MONTHLY PROGRAMMING TO REDUCE THE SPREAD OF COVID.
