THE NONPROFIT COUNCILS LARGEST PROGRAM, BIG GIVE WWW.THEBIGGIVE.ORG PIVOTED IN MARCH 2020 TO CANCEL OUR 24-HOUR COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING DAY TO AN EMERGENCY RELIEF SITE FOR THE OVER 600 NONPROFITS WHO WERE PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED OR DID SO TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS RELIEF GIVING SITE. THE WEBSITE OPENED MACH 19TH THROUGH MAY 31ST AND OVER 300 NONPROFITS COLLECTIVELY WERE ABLE TO RAISE JUST UNDER $1 MILLION IN DONATIONS THAT WERE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE TO THEM TO USE AS UNRESTRICTED FUNDING NEEDS. WE RE-SCHEDULED THE GIVING DAY TO SEPTEMBER 10TH AND JUST OVER 500 NONPROFITS COLLECTIVELY WERE ABLE TO RAISE OVER $4.2 MILLION DOLLARS. THE BIG GIVE PROVED TO OUR COMMUNITY THE IMPORTANCE THAT THIS ONLINE GIVING PLATFORM/EVENT, THAT HAS HELPED OVER 1,000 LOCAL NONPROFITS RAISE MORE THAN $30 MILLION IN 7 YEARS.THE NONPROFIT COUNCIL PROVIDED OUR MEMBERS THE ABILITY TO CONNECT VIRTUALLY VIA A GROUP EMAIL PLATFORM TO ALLOW THEM TO ASK QUESTIONS IN REAL-TIME TO THE ENTIRE 200 CEO/EDS AND GET THOSE QUESTIONS ANSWERED.
