THE MISSION OF THE SOUTHERN VERMONT HEALTH AND RECREATION CENTER FOUNDATION, LNC. IS TO PROVIDE AREA RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES WITH THE OPPORTUNITIES AND RESOURCES NECESSARY TO LIVE AN ACTIVE AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

THE SOUTHERN VERMONT HEALTH AND RECREATION CENTER OFFERS ALL SIX LEVELS OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS SWIMMING LESSONS, WATER AEROBIC CLASSES, ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS, AND AMERICAN ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION CLASSES IN OUR WARM WATER THERAPY POOL, AND PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS IN THREE POOLS. OUR FITNESS CENTER OFFERS A FULL GYMNASIUM FEATURING CARDIO, FREE WEIGHTS, AND WEIGHT MACHINES, PILATES, YOGA CARDIO MIX, WOMEN & WEIGHT CLASSES, NUTRITION, PRIVATE PERSONAL TRAINING WITH ANY OF OUR CERTIFIED TRAINERS, AND OUR PRESCRIPTION FOR EXERCISE PROGRAM. PHYSICIANS FROM REGIONAL MEDICAL PRACTICES REFER PATIENTS WHO ARE OBESE, ARE AT RISK OF OBESITY. OR WHO HAVE OBESITY RELATED HEALTH ISSUES TO A SIX-MONTH GUIDED EXERCISE PROGRAM. OUR MEMBERSHIP IS REPRESENTATIVE OF 35 COMMUNITIES AND RANGES IN AGES FROM BIRTH TO 92 . WE RECENTLY ADDED A ROCK CLIMBING WALL AND YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS.
