OUR MISSION IS TO ENSURE THAT EVERY PET HAS A LOVING HOME AND THAT EVERY PET OWNER HAS ACCESS TO THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO GIVE THOSE PETS HAPPY, HEALTHY LIVES.

THE HUMANE SOCIETY CONTINUES TO SERVE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND ANIMALS THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AS THE DEMAND FOR COMPANION ANIMALS CONTINUES TO SOAR. THE LAUNCH OF OUR LOW COST COMMUNITY PET MEDICAL CLINIC WITH AN ADDITIONAL SATELLITE FACILITY IN BURLINGTON HAS BEEN A SUCCESS SERVING ANIMALS AND THEIR FAMILIES. WE RE-HOMED OVER 1,400 ANIMALS, ADMINISTERED 2,000 VACCINATIONS, COMPLETED 500 SPAY AND NEUTER AND MINOR MEDICAL PROCEDURES, AND OFFERED FREE PET FOOD TO OVER 1,000 FAMILIES IN NEED. WE RESCUED OVER 300 ANIMALS FROM HIGH-VOLUME SHELTERS DOWN SOUTH AND PROVIDED HUMANE EDUCATION TO 100+STUDENTS AGES 5-15. FERAL CATS WERE TRAPPED, NEUTERED AND RETURNED TO THE OUTDOORS AND OUR SPAY THE MOM PROGRAM SPAYED AND NEUTERED 50+ CATS AND KITTENS AT NO COST TO THEIR OWNERS. WE ADMINISTERED RABIES SHOTS TO 100+ COMMUNITY PETS THROUGH OUR ANNUAL RABIES CLINIC. OVER 50 LOYAL VOLUNTEERS GAVE 1,000 HOURS OF THEIR PRECIOUS TIME EVEN THROUGH THE PANDEMIC. OUR NEWLY ESTABLISHED PET HELP LINE SERVED 200+ PET OWNERS. WE HAD 2,850+ OF OUR LOYAL DONORS HELP TO ADVANCE OUR MISSION THROUGH THEIR GENEROSITY. WE COLLABORATED WITH MANY LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY PARTNERS, AND OUR HUMANE INVESTIGATOR ASSISTED LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH ANIMAL ABUSE CASES IN CHITTENDEN AND GRAND ISLE COUNTIES AND BEYOND.
