ANNUAL CONVENTION AND SCIENTIFIC SESSION: PROVIDES CONTINUING EDUCATION AND WORKSHOPS FOR OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIANS IN THE FIELD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE. THERE WERE 1,601 MEMBERS THAT ATTENDED THE ANNUAL CONVENTION AND SCIENTIFIC SESSION.
REVIEW COURSE: PROVIDES AN INTENSIVE AND COMPREHENSIVE OVERVIEW OF MOST OF THE MAJOR AREAS OF IMPORTANCE TO PHYSICIANS PREPARING FOR THE AMERICAN OSTEOPATHIC BOARD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE CERTIFYING AND RECERTIFYING EXAMINATIONS. THE 31ST ANNUAL INTERNAL MEDICINE BOARD REVIEW COURSE HAD 230 PARTICIPANTS.
RESIDENT EXAMINATION: THE COLLEGE ADMINISTERS AN ANNUAL IN-SERVICE EXAMINATION TO ALL TRAINEES IN OSTEOPATHIC INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAMS TO ASSIST IN EVALUATING THEIR PROGRESS IN ACHIEVING CURRICULAR GOALS. THERE WERE 609 INDIVIDUALS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE EXAM.
HOSPITAL MEDICINE: PROVIDES HOSPITAL-BASED INTERNISTS AND OTHER HOSPITAL-BASED HELATH CARE PROFESSIONALS UPDATES IN MEDICAL ADVANCES AND STRUCTURAL INITIATIVES RELATED TO CLINICAL CASES IN THE INPATIENT SETTING TO ADVANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCE, AND ASSIST IN THE INTEGRATION OF BEST PRACTICE STANDARDS.
