THROUGH EXHIBITS, COLLECTION ITEMS AND THE MAINTENANCE OF LOCAL HISTORICAL PROPERTIES, THE SOCIETY PROMOTES KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY OF ANDOVER, NEW HAMPSHIRE. DURING 2020, MANY OF OUR VISITORS EXPERIENCED: (1) THE POTTER PLACE RAILROAD STATION BUILT BY THE NORTHERN RAILROAD IN 1874 FROM THE OUTSIDE THROUGH A COLLABORATIVE ALL ABOARD! EXHIBIT IN OUR WINDOWS UNTIL AUGUST WHEN THE MUSEUM WAS REOPENED, (2) A VIRTUAL TOUR OF THE TUCKER MOUNTAIN SCHOOLHOUSE BUILT BY BENJAMIN TUCKER IN 1837, AND (3) THE EMONS GENERAL STORE WHICH ALSO OPENED IN AUGUST. OTHER EXHIBITS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR VIEWING OUTSIDE INCLUDE: A RUTLAND CABOOSE AND A RETIRED FREIGHT SHED AND CAR. IN PLACE OF THE ANNUAL "OLD TIME FAIR", THE SOCIETY HELD AN ON-LINE AUCTION AND VIRTUAL RAILROAD CONCERT.
