THE UNITED WAY OF SULLIVAN COUNTY IS A NON PROFIT CORPORATION WHICH WAS FORMED TO RAISE AND DISTRIBUTE FUNDS FOR THE COMMUNITY'S NEEDS. THE UNITED WAY'S FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ARE CONCENTRATED IN THE SULLIVAN COUNTY AREA OF THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE. ANNUAL CAMPAIGNS ARE CONDUCTED IN THE FALL OF EACH YEAR TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS PRIMARILY IN THE SUBSEQUENT YEAR. CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS ARE USED TO SUPPORT LOCAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS OF MEMBER AGENCIES AND TO PAY THE OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE LOCAL CHAPTER. NET CAMPAIGN RESULTS ARE ALLOCATED TO MEMBER AGENCIES.
