WE PROMOTE LOCAL AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES THROUGH OUR FARMERS' MARKETS IN MARIN AND SONOMA COUNTIES. WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL AGENCIES TO CREATE WAYS FOR SNAP RECIPIENTS TO USE THEIR SNAP FUNDS TO PURCHASE LOCAL HEALTHY FOODS FROM FARMERS. WE PARTICIPATE IN FOOD SECURITY PROGRAMS INCLUDING SENIOR BONUS BUCKS PROGRAM AND MARKET MATCH, A PROGRAM THAT OFFERS ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO LOW INCOME CONSUMERS FOR FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES PURCHASED FROM SMALL TO MID SCALE FARMERS AT FARMERS MARKETS. WE PROMOTE AGRICULTURE TO YOUTH BY PARTICIPATING IN YOUTH AGRICULTURE DAYS IN MARIN AND SONOMA COUNTIES, INTRODUCING YOUNG CHILDREN TO FRUITS AND VEGETABLES AND HOW THEY ARE GROWN. WE OFFER FARMERS MARKET TOURS TO EDUCATIONAL GROUPS AND PARTNERING AGENCIES TO EDUCATE THEM ON THE LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM AND CREATE AN ENGAGING EXPERIENCE TO HELP STRENGTHEN THE BONDS IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.
