PROVIDE AID TO THE INDIGENT AND NEEDY. SERVICES CONSIST OF CASH GRANTS FOR FOOD, SHELTER AND UTILITIES AS WELL AS OPERATION OF FOOD BANKS IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND PERTH AMBOY, NEW JERSEY.

COSTS OF FOOD FOR FOOD BANKS OPERATED ON A WEEKLY BASIS IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND PERTH AMBOY NEW JERSEY. THERE WERE 14,902 INDIVIDUALS SERVED IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND 27,237 INDIVIDUALS IN PERTH AMBOY.
THE SOCIETY HELPS THE INDIGENT THROUGH OUR CONFERENCES VIA PERSON-TO-PERSON MEETINGS WITH THE NEEDY INDIVIDUALS CONCERNED. THE VOLUNTEER CASE WORKERS REVIEW AND APPROVE AID THROUGH CONFERENCES WITH THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL. ASSISTANCE IS GIVEN FOR RENT, UTILITIES, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE, AMONG OTHER NEEDS.
RENTAL OF PREMISES WHERE FOOD BANK WERE SERVED IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND PERTH AMBOY, NEW JERSEY. PROVIDES CHRISTMAS/EASTER GIFTS, BACKPACK, COATS/BLANKETS, BAGELS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO THE INDIGENTS/NEEDY INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY SERVED.
VARIOUS PROJECTS THAT FOCUS ON THE YOUTH OF THE COMMUNITY AND ADULTS. THE SOCIETY PROVIDES CHRISTMAS TOY GIVEAWAYS FOR CHILDREN. THIS ALSO INCLUDES SUPPLIES, REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE PANTRIES. THE COUNCIL ALSO HAD A COMMUNION PROGRAM WHEREBY THE AVENEL CONFERENCE PURCHASES COMMUNION OUTFITS AND IS REIMBURSED BY THE COUNCIL TREASURER CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED FROM THE CONFERENCE MEMBERS.
