THE MISSION OF THE SOUTHWEST ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE RESOURCES AND SERVE AS AMBASSADORS FOR THE PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES THAT SUPPORT SOUTHWEST INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT'S STRATEGIC PLAN.

MISSION:

TO IMPROVE THE WELL-BEING OF YOUNG TEXANS THROUGH EQUITABLE ACCESS TO SEXUAL HEALTH EDUCATION, CONTRACEPTION, AND RESOURCES.

THE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF, TO PERFORM THE FUNCTIONS OF, OR TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF ITS SOLE MEMBER, THE UNIVERSITY OF THE INCARNATE WORD.

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

THROUGH ITS OUTREACH, WHETHER THROUGH EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS OR PUBLIC ART, THE SAN ANTONIO RIVER FOUNDATION'S GOAL IS TO INSPIRE STEWARDSHIP AND BROADER PUBLIC CONSERVATION OF THE 240 MILES OF THE SAN ANTONIO RIVER AND ITS NATIVE ECOLOGY. SIGNIFICANT TIME AND VOLUNTEER RESOURCES ARE DEDICATED YEAR-ROUND TOWARD BRINGING INFORMATIVE PROGRAMS AND ENGAGING EVENTS WHICH HIGHLIGHT THE HISTORY, CULTURE, AND ECOLOGY OF THE RIVER AND THE COMMUNITIES IT HELPS SHAPE. ADDITIONALLY, THE RIVER FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AT CONFLUENCE PARK. COLLECTIVELY, FOUNDATION PROGRAMS AT CONFLUENCE PARK HAVE SERVED MORE THAN 60,000 STUDENTS AND PARTICIPANTS FROM ACROSS THE ENTIRE METRO COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS SURROUNDING COUNTIES, RECONNECTING EACH WITH FUNDAMENTAL VALUES OF NATURE AND THE RIVER.

AS A CHARITY, PROVIDES LOW-INCOME HOUSING AND RESIDENT SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

BARRIERS OF INCOME AND LOCATION ARE ADDRESSED BY PROVIDING ALL SERVICES AT NO COST TO THE FAMILIES AND AT A LOCATION CONVENIENT TO THE CLIENT. ANY BABY CAN SERVES 19 COUNTIES INCLUDING, BEXAR, ATASCOSA, BANDERA, BLANCO,COMAL, EDWARDS, FRIO, GILLESPIE, GONZALES, GUADALUPE, KENDALL, KERR, KIMBLE, MEDINA, REAL, UVALDE AND WILSON COUNTY. ANY BABY CAN MAINTAINS THE MAIN OFFICE NEAR DOWNTOWN SAN ANTONIO, ALONG WITH SATELLITE OFFICES IN NEW BRAUNFELS AT THE MCKENNA HOSPITAL.

PROVIDE LOW-INCOME HOUSING TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AT AN APARTMENT PROJECT CONSISTING OF 50 UNITS LOCATED IN MCALLEN, TEXAS.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the organizations concerned with civil society, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector who seek to promote the practice of charitable giving and voluntarism through a variety of strategies including advocacy, disclosure, information exchange, and research.
