THE ASSOCIATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE COMMON AREAS AND FACILITIES WITHIN THE ASSOCIATION. SIGNIFICANT COMMON PROPERTY INCLUDES SEVEN RECREATION CENTERS, SIX SWIMMING POOLS AND FOUR TENNIS COURTS. THE MAINTENANCE OF THE RECREATION CENTER, SWIMMING POOLS, AND TENNIS COURTS PROVIDE AN ESSENTIAL PUBLIC BENEFIT.

THE ASSOCIATION LESSENS THE BURDEN OF GOVERNMENT BY MAINTAINING THE GRASS LOCATED ON THE STREET MEDIAN ON PUBLIC STREETS OWNED BY THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO MAINTAINS GREENBELTS, PERIMETER WALLS AND THREE PARKS LOCATED WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE PARK AREAS PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY BY ALLOWING THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS USE OF THE PARKS.


THE ASSOCIATION BEGAN WORKING ON A POOL RENOVATION DURING THE YEAR. THE RENOVATION PROJECT WAS COMPLETED IN AUGUST 2023.


THE ASSOCIATION OPERATES AND MAINTAINS SEVEN RECREATIONAL FACILITIES WITH AMENITIES INCLUDING A GYM, BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL COURTS, PING-PONG ROOMS, INTERNET CAFE, PARTY HALLS, MEETING ROOM, BUSINESS CENTERS, FOUR TOT-LOTS, FOUR TENNIS COURTS AND FIVE PICNIC AREAS/BARBECUE PAVILIONS AND SIX SWIMMING POOLS. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO HOLDS MANY SPECIAL EVENTS FOR RESIDENTS AND OFFERS SENIOR PROGRAMS WHERE MILILANI RESIDENTS 55 AND OVER MEET EVERY WEEK FOR VARIOUS ACTIVITIES.
