SAFETY DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES ACHIEVE OUR MISSION TO ADVANCE SAFETY ON THE PUBLIC ROADS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF HAWAII. WE CONDUCT VARIOUS DRIVER SAFETY CLASSES WHICH ARE REQUIRED OF COMMERCIAL DRIVERS BY STATE LAW AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS. WE ALSO CONDUCT ROAD EVALUATIONS AND FORKLIFT OPERATOR EVALUATIONS WHICH ARE ALSO REQUIRED BY FEDERAL AND STATE REGULATIONS.
THE ANNUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE ACHIEVES OUR MISSION TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE THE COMMERCIAL GROUND TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY IN HAWAII, TO FOSTER AND ADVANCE SAFETY ON THE PUBLIC ROADS AND HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF HAWAII, AND DO SUCH THINGS AS MAY BE PROPER TO CREATE AND STIMULATE A FAIR AND INTELLIGENT ATTITUDE ON THE PART OF THE PUBLIC. THE CONFERENCE IMPARTS INFORMATION THAT IS CRITICAL AND TIMELY TO PRESENT AND FUTURE MOTOR CARRIER OPERATIONS SUCH AS: ECONOMIC OUTLOOK, REGULATIONS OF VARIOUS FEDERAL AND STATE AGENCIES, EQUIPMENT AND PRODUCT ADVANCES, ETC. THE CONFERENCE BRINGS LEGISLATORS AND REGULATORS TO INTERACT WITH MOTOR CARRIERS AND LEARN OF THE INDUSTRY'S ISSUES.
