FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER - WEST WAS FORMED TO OPERATE AND OTHERWISE MAINTAIN A HOSPITAL AND RELATED ACTIVITIES ON THE BASIS OF BASIC CATHOLIC PHILOSOPHY, THAT WILL FOSTER THE WELLNESS OF THE COMMUNITY WHICH IT SERVES AND THUS FULFILL ITS HEALTHCARE APOSTOLATE. LOCATED IN EWA BEACH, ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER - WEST PROVIDED THE COMMUNITIES OF WEST OAHU WITH MEDICAL, SURGICAL, EMERGENCY CARE, AMBULATORY CARE AND OTHER OUTPATIENT SERVICES AND ANCILLARY SERVICES. EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2007, THE ORGANIZATION SOLD SUBSTANTIALLY ALL OF ITS ASSETS THAT WERE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY RELATED TO THE OPERATION OF THE HOSPITAL FACILITIES.
