TO IMPROVE RELATIONS AMONG THE CHINESE AND VARIOUS CHINESE SOCIETIES IN THE STATE OF HAWAII; TO PROMOTE PROJECTS OF BENEVOLENCE, CHARITY AND CULTURAL AWARENESS; AND TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF THE CHINESE COMMUNITY.

HALL OF HONOR AWARD THE INAUGURAL 2022 HALL OF HONOR AWARD REPLACED BOTH THE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AND MODEL MOTHER AND FATHER OF THE YEAR AWARDS. THIS ANNUAL AWARD RECOGNIZES A WELL-ROUNDED INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS GIVEN THROUGHT HIS/HER PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT, LEADERSHIP ABILITY, AND SELFLESS VOLUNTEERING OF TIME AND TALENT TO POSITIVELY AFFECT UCS AS WELL AS THE MEMBER SOCIETIES, CHINESE COMMUNITY, AND COMMUNITY AT LARGE IN HAWAII. THIS PERSON IS ALSO SUCCESSFUL IN HIS/HER PERSONAL LIFE AND CAREER.


OTHER PROGRAM EXPENSES UCS CONTINUES TO GATHER DATA FROM MEMBER SOCIETIES AND PUBLISH THE RED BOOK DIRECTORY AS A RESOURCE TO ALL MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS. IT IS DISTRIBUTED AT THE TEA RECEPTION ALONG WITH THE CHINESE LUNAR CALENDAR. ANNUAL FAMILY DAY PICNIC WHERE MEMBERS OF ALL SOCIETIES ARE INVITED TO BRING THEIR FAMILY FOR FELLOWSHIP AND CULTURAL FUN. INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS AND TRUSTEES.
