TO BUILD A STRONG & EMPOWERED FILIPINO COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING SERVICES, DEVELOPING LEADERS, ORGANIZING CONSTITUENTS, & ADVOCATING POLICIES THAT PROMOTE SOCIAL & ECONOMIC JUSTICE & EQUITY.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT - WE SERVE APPROXIMATELY 130 YOUTH ANNUALLY THROUGH OUR IN-SCHOOL PREVENTION EDUCATION AND OUR AFTER SCHOOL PEER SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. OUR PREVENTION CURRICULUM INCLUDES THE PREVENTION OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS; HIV/STDS AND PREGNANCY, VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS PROVIDE PEER SUPPORT, CULTURAL GROUNDING, LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZING.


CIVIL RIGHTS, SOCIAL ACTION AND ADVOCACY - WE REACH 1,000 TO 1,200 COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGH OUR PROGRAM:. CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, WHICH INCLUDES VOTER IDENTIFICATION, EDUCATION AND MOBILIZATION; LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND ADVOCACY ON ISSUES OF CIVIL RIGHTS -- PARTICULARLY WHERE IT IMPACTS IMMIGRANTS, PEOPLE OF COLOR, YOUTH AND LOW-WAGE WORKERS; LOW-WAGE WORKERS SUPPORT PROVIDES "KNOW YOUR RIGHTS" EDUCATION ABOUT HEALTH AND SAFETY RISKS, WORKERS' RIGHTS FOR HOME CARE AND OTHER LOW-WAGE WORKERS, WORKPLACE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND CONNECTING FILIPINO WORKERS TO THE LARGER MOVEMENT FOR WORKERS' RIGHTS; AND IMMIGRATION SERVICES, PROVIDE NATURALIZATION AND FAMILY REUNIFICATION ASSISTANCE, ACCESS TO NO OR LOW-COST HEALTH COVERAGE AND SOCIAL SERVICES.
