COMMUNITY SERVICES (THESE EVENTS WERE SUSPENDED DURING 2020 DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC) THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, TCC PROVIDES MANY SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING THE EASTER EGG HUNT, QUARTERLY SQUARE DANCE NIGHT, OUR SWAP MEET,FIDDLE & GRIDDLE, MONTHLY FOOD TRUCK FRIDAYS, SOCCER AND BASEBALL FOR KIDS, AND DISCO NIGHT.
CANYON SAGESTHE CANYON SAGES WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2009 BY THE TOPANGA TOWN COUNCIL AND ENVISIONED AS A YOUTHFUL-SPIRITED ORGANIZATION FOR TOPANGANS. AS A GROUP FOR SENIORS OF ALL AGES, IT HOLDS MOST OF ITS ACTIVITIES AT THE TOPANGA COMMUNITY HOUSE. THIS YEAR THE TCC HAS GIVEN THEM REGULAR TIME AND SPACE FROM 10-3 MONDAY, TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, OFFERING IN EFFECT A MINI-SENIOR CENTER.WE PROVIDE SERVICES AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS OF ANY AGE AND ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE TO JOIN AND/OR VOLUNTEER.SAGE CLUB CLASSES ARE OFTEN FREE OR LOW-COST AND ARE OPEN TO ALL.
TOPANGA YOUTH SERVICESSERVING KIDS FROM 10 TO 17 YEARS OLD(THESE EVENTS WERE SUSPENDED DURING 2020 DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC)TOPANGA YOUTH SERVICES IS A PROGRAM OF THE TOPANGA COMMUNITY CLUB AND PROVIDES CREATIVE ENRICHMENT AND COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR YOUTHS FROM SIXTH GRADE THROUGH HIGH-SCHOOL FOR LITTLE OR NO CHARGE. PARTICIPANTS CAN ATTEND MONTHLY EVENTS, COMMUNITY SERVICE OUTINGS, FIELD TRIPS OR A MORE COMPREHENSIVE SERIES OF ACTIVITIES. WE ASPIRE TO INSTILL TEAMWORK, BEHAVIOR SKILLS, LOOKING AT THINGS CREATIVELY, BREAKING INHIBITIONS, CONFIDENCE, ENRICHMENT OF THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY, EQUALITY, COURAGEIN A SAFE AND NON-JUDGMENTAL ENVIRONMENT.
