Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY YOUTH PROJECT (SCVYP) PROVIDED FREE ONE ON ONE COUNSELING, FACILITATED SUPPORT GROUPS, OFFERED CRISIS INTERVENTION, OUTREACH, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION TO TEENS IN THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY. WE PROVIDED SERVICES ON SIX HIGH SCHOOL AND SIX JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUSES. WE HELPED STUDENTS DEAL WITH DEPRESSION, ANGER, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, PREGNANCY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, RELATIONSHIPS, FAMILY, SUICIDE, NEGLECT, BULLYING, SELF-HARM, SEXUAL IDENTITY, AND VARIOUS OTHER ISSUES. DURING MARCH OF 2020, DUE TO THE OUTBREAK OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE SCHOOLS WERE SHUT DOWN AND SO WERE THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY SCVYP. ADDITIONALLY, OUR FUNDING FROM THE SCHOOL DISTRICT WAS TERMINATED AND WE ALSO WERE NOT ABLE TO HOLD ANY OF OUR ANNUAL FUND RAISERS THAT WE NORMALLY WOULD SO WE WERE UNABLE TO CONTINUE TO RAISE FUNDS. FURTHER DISCUSSIONS WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICIALS RESULTED IN THE DISCONTINUING OF OUR SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE DISTRICT WITH NO PROMISING HOPE OF CONTINUING IN THE FUTURE.SCVYP WAS ON HOLD FOR 2021 WITH NO OPERATIONS, JUST BASIC ESSENTIALS TO KEEP THE ENTITY ACTIVE. WITH NO NEW DEVELOPMENTS OR PROSPECTS FOR STARTING UP OUR PROGRAM AGAIN, WE WILL MOST LIKELY, PROCEED WITH THE TERMINATION OF THIS ORGANIZATION IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WE THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN A PART OF AND DONATED TO THIS WONDERFUL ORGANIZATION OVER THE LAST 20 PLUS YEARS, REMEMBER, NEVER BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP!!!
