THE LOS ANGELES SPORTS COUNCIL FOUNDATION SIGNATURE EVENT IS THE LA SPORTS AWARDS, AN ANNUAL TELEVISED AWARDS SHOW. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS ITS RELATED ENTITIES, LA SPORTS COUNCIL AND THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COMMITTEE FOR THE OLYMPICS GAMES TO FURTHER THEIR MISSIONS.


GREAT PUBLIC SCHOOLS NOW FUNDED GRANTS ARE FOR SUMMER SPORTS PROGRAMMING, DELIVERED THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH VARIOUS LA SPORTS TEAMS AND ORGANIZATIONS. OVER 70 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, PHILANTHROPISTS, AND LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT UNITED TO PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL LEARNING PROGRAMS IN THE SUMMER OF 2022. THE PROGRAMS WERE OFFERED TO STUDENTS IN LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES TO PROVIDE ACADEMIC SUPPORT, PROJECT- BASED LEARNING AND A RECONNECTION WITH PEERS.
