ST. JAMES PLAZA PROVIDES FEDERALLY SUBSIDIZED APARTMENT RENTAL HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME ELDERLY PERSONS UNDER HUD PROGRAMS. ST. JAMES PLAZA PROVIDES LOW-INCOME PERSONS AND FAMILIES WITH FACILITIES AND SERVICES SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO MEET THEIR PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS AND TO PROMOTE THEIR HEALTH, SECURITY, HAPPINESS AND USEFULNESS IN LONGER LIVING. ON JULY 28, 2021 THE ORGANIZATION SOLD THE APARTMENT RENTAL HOUSING TO AN OPERATING PARTNERSHIP THAT IT RETAINS GENERAL PARTNER INTEREST IN. THE ORGANIZATION IS STILL CONSIDERING THE BEST WAY TO USE THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS TRANSACTION TO BEST SERVICE THE COMMUNITY.
