PFLAG'S FIRST PILLAR OF WORK AND PROGRAMMATIC AREA IS SUPPORT, BECAUSE EVERY PERSON'SAND FAMILY'SJOURNEY STARTS WITH THIS NEED AND IS FOUNDATIONAL TO PFLAG'S HISTORY AND WORK. THE PFLAG CHAPTER NETWORK IS THE LARGEST PROGRAM OF PFLAG NATIONAL. RESOURCED AND SUPPORTED BY THE CHAPTER ENGAGEMENT TEAM AND THE ENTIRE PFLAG NATIONAL STAFF, PFLAG CHAPTERS ARE PRIMARILY RUN BY PASSIONATE VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED TO PFLAG'S MISSION AND VISION AND WHO ARE DRIVEN TO MAKE THINGS BETTER IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES, THEIR STATES, AND THEIR COUNTRY. PFLAG CONNECTS IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES FREE VIRTUAL MEETING SPACES FOR ALL CHAPTERS, AS WELL AS TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO CREATE PROGRAMMING AND KEEP THOSE SPACES SAFE AND SECURE. PFLAG CONNECTS: COMMUNITIES (PCC) PROVIDES SAFE, VIRTUAL, MODERATED SPACES WHERE PEOPLE WITH SHARED EXPERIENCES CAN CONNECT EACH MONTH TO GAIN SUPPORT, ASK QUESTIONS, AND LEARN FROM OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. CURRENT MONTHLY SUPPORT MEETINGS ARE FOR BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILIES, LATINO FAMILIES, ASIAN AMERICAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER FAMILIES, GRANDPARENTS, MILITARY FAMILIES, AND FAMILIES WITH TRANSGENDER AND GENDER-DIVERSE KIDS. THE PFLAG NATIONAL ONLINE COMMUNITY HOSTED ON THE FACEBOOK PLATFORM IS A PLACE FOR PFLAG MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS TO FIND REAL-TIME, 24/7 PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION.
PFLAG'S SECOND PILLAR OF WORK AND PROGRAMMATIC AREA IS EDUCATION, WHICH IS CRITICAL TO BETTER UNDERSTANDING, AND SERVES A WIDE VARIETY OF PFLAG'S MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS. STRAIGHT FOR EQUALITY IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES INTERACTIVE AND ENGAGING LEARNING SESSIONS, RESOURCES, AND PROGRAMS TO ASSIST PFLAG CHAPTERS, PFLAG MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS, AND COMPANIES WITH CREATING DIVERSE, EQUITABLE, INCLUSIVE AND ACCESSIBLE COMMUNITIES AND WORKPLACES. STRAIGHT FOR EQUALITY'S WORKPLACE LEARNING PROGRAM IS ONE OF THE NATION'S PREEMINENT ALLYSHIP PROGRAMS, WITH SESSIONS THAT PROVIDE EDUCATION FOR LGBTQ+ AND ALLIED EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONALS, FRONT-LINE AND MANUFACTURING WORKERS, AND CORPORATE ASSOCIATES, INCLUDING C-SUITE EXECUTIVES.
